Applications Now Accepted for 2008-09 Local Government Innovations Award MSBA, in cooperation with the Humphrey Institute, is again participating in the Local Government Innovations Award program. This program recognizes school districts that work cooperatively with other city, county or other agencies to increase efficiency, use collaboration or improve management processes. All applications must be e-mailed to Susan Earle at the Humphrey Institute by Friday, Jan. 16.

The MSBA Delegate Assembly is scheduled for Sunday, December 7 and Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Doubletree Park Place Hotel (1500 Park Place Boulevard) in St. Louis Park. To make your housing reservations, click on the DA housing link (to the left). To ensure availability and to access the group rate, you must make your housing arrangements at the DoubleTree no later than Saturday, November 22. Reducing Energy Costs in Local Government Conference Registration is now open for the 2009 Reducing Energy Costs in Local Government Conference 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at the St. Cloud Civic Center. MSBA has joined with several government groups to offer ideas on energy savings. Tuition is $40. Register by FAX or mail before Jan. 16.
