RESERVED REVENUE FOR STAFF DEVELOPMENT

      During the 2009 Legislative Session, the Legislature temporarily suspended the staff development reserve for FY 2010 and FY 2011. School districts may now use the 2% of school district general education aid for FY 2010 and FY 2011 for those purposes identified in M.S. 126C.13, Subd. 5. Although the Legislature has suspended the requirement that school districts reserve revenue for staff development activities during FY 2010 and FY 2011, the Minnesota Department of Education has not rescinded the year-end reporting requirements.
