MSBA Day at the Capitol is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Best Western Plus Capitol Ridge, located at 161 St. Anthony Avenue in St. Paul.

The MSBA Day at the Capitol is an advocacy event for school board members, superintendents and other school leaders. This event offers school leaders the chance to study issues of importance and engage their local legislative leaders. Please see the agenda below for more information.

MAKE APPOINTMENTS WITH YOUR LEGISLATORS: Day at the Capitol attendees are encouraged to make appointments with their local senators and representatives for the afternoon. Find out who represents you.

REGISTRATION: Advance registration is closed; WALK-INS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND | Registration fee includes morning refreshments and a box lunch

  • Advance registration: $30
  • Walk-in registration: $40

HOTEL: Call 651-227-8711 or visit the hotel website to make room reservations. (Standard rates apply based on availability.)

  • There is a parking fee at the hotel (up to $10 a day). Parking is free for overnight guests.

* Please feel free to attend your previously scheduled meetings with your elected legislators at any point during the day.

** Another option is to ask your State Representative to leave the floor session to meet with you outside the House chambers.

MSBA Event Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Meeting Participants for MSBA Day at the Capitol

(1) If a pre-registered participant cancels any time prior to the date registration closes, MSBA will fully refund the registration fee.

(2) If a pre-registered participant cancels between the date registration closes until the time the MSBA-sponsored event/activity begins, he/she will be charged an administration fee of $30.

(3) Once an event/activity begins, all registrants are responsible for the full registration fee.
